Malaysia’s Own Oktoberfest @Berjaya Times Square

Malaysia’s Own Oktoberfest is here! Who is excited like me!!! I attended the launch of Malaysia’s Own Oktoberfest on 26th September in Hakka Restaurant, and I can’t get enough of it! Went to the second one in Berjaya Times Square Hotel on the next day muahahaha some called me crazy but this is how I rolled :D

What is “Malaysia’s Own Oktoberfest 2012”? It is presented by Carlsberg Malaysia to enable consumers to experience first-hand the authentic German beer drinking festival locally, which runs from September 26 to October 7.  This is also their first time extending this to the East Malaysia. Eh I heard that East Malaysian are really good drinkers. How I wish I was there to party with them! I want to experience it!

Last year they had it in the same venue ( click here to read ), it was a blast! I am glad to tell you all that this year in Berjaya Times Square, it was even better than last year!

Let me brief you about Oktoberfest..

Oktoberfest, or Wiesn, is a 16–18 day beer festival held annually in Munich, Bavaria, Germany, running from late September to the first weekend in October. It is one of the most famous events in Germany and is the world’s largest fair, with more than 5 million people attending every year. The Oktoberfest is an important part of Bavarian culture, having been held since 1810.

Crown Prince Ludwig, later to become King Ludwig I, was married to Princess Therese of Bavaria on October 12,1810. The citizens of Munich were invited to attend the festivities held on the fields in front of the city gates to celebrate the happy royal event. The fields have been named Theresienwiese (“Theresa’s meadow”) in honor of the Crown Princess ever since, although the locals have since abbreviated the name simply to the “Wies’n”.

A special promotion to commemorate the event has also been launched where consumers can take home a limited edition Oktoberfest beer stein when they take part the promotion at participating outlets. Do you like it?

This party have a few highlights including authentic Umpapa band from Germany

Carlsberg ambassadors decked in dirndls which is the traditional German dress, and also dancing the traditional chicken dance.

Activities and games like the stein race, barrel race and arm wrestling. All these are so much fun! Tell me who doesn’t like drinking games? Hahaha

Carnival like atmosphere is what I like the most. Unlike the usual party, this is more to chill, and I see happy people with their beer mug everywhere. One said to me: Wastage of beer is totally banned in here XD

I think this lead singer of Umpapa band sure feel very bliss that he can work in this kind of environment. Is party, drinking while working!

The party gone wilder, and people started to jump on the table to dance! Woohoo

The decorations here so lovely as well. I took so much photos around but I scared you sien of my face wtf hence I decided to put only a few wtf wtf

so unglam hahaha

I have to say I enjoy eating the pretzel( the real one la of course wtf) while chatting with friends. It is kind of addictive and goes so well with beer due to its saltiness

do you notice the lady in red? I have a funny encounter with her. I was posing in front of the entrance of the hall, then this lady passed by and just stopped there and posed as well. So Andy took a photo of her also. And thats how we started talking. I asked her, How’s the party? Did you enjoy it? She gave me a big thumbs up :)

With MHB ! Head over to to know more about MHB

On the other hand, people has been praising about my outfit teehee i am a happy girl

here is me shamelessly posing without knowing my legs are so ugly and fat wtf

this is the back view of the dress. I like this dress as it is elegant yet a little bit sexy. Suitable for formal event or party. What do you think? ^^

One more thing, Responsible Drinking. This is very very super duper ultra important. Carlsberg Malaysia will be deploying employee-ambassadors to distribute brochures and encourage consumers to test their BAC (Breath Alcohol Content) as part of its efforts in increasing knowledge and awareness amongst consumers on the significance of responsible drinking.

to find out where the next party will be, head over to

See you in the next Oktoberfest party Open-mouthed smile
