Standard Chartered’s Chief Information Officer, Arif Siddiqui said, “ICT Competition 2013 is more than just embracing ICT. For the Bank, we realise that this competition signifies our quest to boost creativity and innovation and to further increase the knowledge of ICT amongst university students and also our Standard Chartered employees.”

This is really heart-warming to see how a company worked hard in order for a better future and generation. We as students shouldn’t waste their effort and appreciate every opportunity given.

Me and the lovely Veronica! Looking so sweet <3

I know by now you can’t wait to know more about the competition! ICT Competition 2013 is open to all university/college students from public and private universities/colleges 18 years and above and all Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Berhad employees. To qualify for the competition, participants must join as a team of at least 2 members to a maximum of 5 members, and one member needs to be a Malaysian citizen.

Registration commenced on 13 January and closes 25 March 2013. The competition will be judged in 2 categories:

1. University / College Students (in teams 2 – 5 persons)

2. Employees of Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Berhad, its subsidiaries and Scope International (in teams 2 – 5 persons)

One of the opening act during the launch. Totally in love with it! So talented so creative. The man will act together with the shadow and he gave us a really great show. This is how cool when technology combined well in our daily use.

The judging criteria for the competition will be based on these 6 elements:

1. Innovativeness, Demonstrated Creativity & Originality of Idea

2. Value Proposition

3. Quality of Presentation & Clarity of Idea

4. Implementation Feasibility

5. Supporting Evidence & Market Demand

6. Green Features

One of the elements that I am more prioritize will be the Value Proposition. Every innovation should create some value to its customer. Otherwise it is pretty useless isn’t it. The idea should be positive and implement positive values in the customers. As an example, I can create some system that can be implemented inside the wheelchair. The system is connected to the kin’s phone. So anytime when the person on wheelchair need help, he/she can straight press the button and gps will show where is that person on the phone. Besides, they can talk to each other using the mic implemented inside the wheelchair’s arm too. This can make sure the old, disabled or the young won’t go missing. This also implement the importance of family to the customers.

The grand finals and prize presentation ceremony will be held on 16 May. The champion team from the University Students category will win RM15,000 cash prize. The runner-up team will receive RM10,000 in cash and the third prize winners will receive a RM5,000 cash prize. All winning teams will receive a plaque each and certificates of participation.

The first prize winner from the Internal Staff category, will take home RM8,000 in cash. The second prize winner will receive a RM5,000 cash prize and the third prize winner will walk away with RM3,000. All winning teams will also take home a plaque and certificates of participation. The remaining seven finalists from each category will received a consolation prize of RM1,000 per team.

We are looking for ideas that are fresh, creative, unique, and innovative. You may find out more at

Inspire us with your most innovative idea on how IT Matters to your work, personal life and the society. Team up and fuel your creativity to build the most creative technological invention and innovation!

Grado ICON Hair Studio

Time flies. Is mid of January already. Are you back to your study/ work mode yet? Or are you like me who already jumped into the CNY mode? hehehe I love CNY. Because thats the time I can buy new clothes new shoes new bag doll up nicely and get a new hairdo for this whole new year! So last week I went to Grado Icon Hair Studio to get my hair done. I always think it is better to get your hair done so it will look more natural during CNY

This is a story of how my hair transform from this

to this.

HOW!!! So far 9.9 out of 10 of my friends said very nice! And I LOVE IT TOO!

I gave this new hair studio which is located in Sri Petaling , Grado ICON Hair Studio a try.

Stepping in the hair studio which has a modern and comfortable theme, with friendly hair stylist, I am feeling very good to be there.

I was then met the hair stylist,Calvin. He has 9 years experience in this industry. So I feel very confident to let him do this hair makeover for me. Hair is very important to me. I feel happy whenever my hair looks pretty and get very grumpy if my hair 见不得人 hahaha

Calvin is being very nice to check and suggest the best hairstyle to me.guess what, he suggested perming my hair! ahh I actually had a not very good experience with curly hair so at 1st I was against it.

But Calvin showed me hows the end result going to be like and finally, I believe in his taste. My future is all in his hand now.

He suggested to perm my hair which will be Korean Setting Perm and followed by giving my hair colour a brand new colour which is Olive. Both are very new try to me. And then I have a question again. Can I do both perm and dyeing on the same day? My hair is not in a very good condition, so by doing both chemical treatment on same day, will it make it worse? And Calvin introduced me one special thing which I will tell you later. He asked me not to worry, and my hair will be very healthy at the end.

Grado ICON Hair Studio use ARIMINO's product. Have you heard of it? It is a a salon professional products which "CARES" for your hair. ARIMINO products are high in quality thus will cause little damage in your hair even for all chemical products.

Then, the journey of a little girl changing to a lady began lololol

1stly, he applied the cold line which is suitable for perm and straightening. it is then covered using plastic to make sure it is maintained at room temperature hence the even and quick result.

Then it comes to the curl part. They are using this very canggih looking machine on me hahahs

Do I look like Medusa in a way?

This perm only require roughly 10 to 15 minutes. It is really quick. After 10 minutes it is removed and guess how I look like? One word, AWESOME.

They said this is the best and most suitable hairstyle for me. What do you think? I should probably consider  this the next time when I want to change hairstyle.

The treatment that I used for both perming and hair dyeing is Shaerpa Treatment. It has conditioning mist to protect the hair, Collagen to give hair protein and keratin,Carrier Oil to protect the scalp for colour. The above mentioned 3 steps are repeated twice. Then it is followed by buffer oil to remove the chemical smell and neutralize the pH value of hair. Fix gum is to lock the hair colour. lastly, silk cream is used for hair smoothness.

Just by listening to all the protective steps, you feel safe enough right hahaha

Here are the end results. Snapping every angle of it just because I can hahaha

this is one of my favourite corner in the hair studio. very artsy and romantic feel. I'm totally loving the curl at the back. is so natural and gave my hair a volume

One of my friend said: Eh you suddenly got so much hair one. LOL

NICE OR NOT!!! I personally feel so princess for a moment when the hair is done

my hair colour under sunlight shows a bit more of the greenish and it actually made my skin look fairer hehehe. The greenish brown that Olive gave out surprisingly suit me so well <3

The rate for my hairmakeover are as below:

Long hair perm RM248

Hair colour RM188

Sherpa Treatment RM120

If you just want normal cut and wash, it will be RM32 for men and RM38 for women.

They are having some promotion too. So don't be shy and go over and try it out !

The new fragrance in town–L’Odeur

Choosing the right fragrance is always a big problem for me. Although there are so many choices available in the market, I just feel there are not enough for me to choose! Alright I know this is weird. Anyway, recently a new brand of fragrance has been launched, and it is L’Odeur from Kings & Queens Cosmetics.

I pretty like the design of the bottle. What about you?

I got my hands on this latest fragrance in town as I am honoured to be invited to be in their launch.

I went to the launch of King & Queens with the bloggers from Malaysia’s Hottest Bloggers on 13 December 2012 at the Grand Dorsett Hotel Subang Jaya for the launch of Kings & Queens. It is also a very good catching up with my pretty babes after MIA for quite some time. Work has been busy! Ahh human life is so challenging hahaha

It was a night of fun and nice food. There are fashion show, dance performance and also singing performance which are both very interesting. This girl can sing really well! But I’m sorry I forgot what’s her name >< We are mesmerized by her voice.

So, you might be asking what is this Kings & Queens that I have been mentioning in this whole post? Kings & Queens is a combined group from an extreme luxury product development company sourced from one of the best companies in the world to bring consumers the latest luxury high end fragrance and beauty products. Kings & Queens is an international brand that uses high quality ingredients sourced from France.

"Kings & Queens Truly Makes One Royalty"

Do you agree with that? I do :)

The first range of products to be launched by the brand is the L’Odeur range which consists of three fragrances namely L'Odeur Paris, L'Odeur Venice, and L'Odeur Milan. By listening to the names you know you can count on it like 1, 2, 3 hahahaha

L'Odeur Venice represents Wild and Floral. It is made of dark spicy red candied rose petals blends with a mixture of cedar woods, sandal woods, vanilla and marshmallow. A liberated spirit of romance conveyed with floral notes with many contrasts.

L’Odeur Paris represents seductive and luxurious. It is blend of elegant sumptuous silk tree flower, voluptuous night queen flower, and luscious bourbon vanilla. It offers a sensual and radiant luxurious fragrance.

Recommended Retail Price: RM225.00

L’Odeur Milan represents passionate and young/ luminous and vibrant. It is a fruity and flirty sensation with listed noted of pear, green orange and peach skin combined with irresistible jasmine and lotus and honeysuckle. A characteristic lotus and a bright jasmine, a composed of a touch wood of cedar make a irresistible fragrance.

Recommended Retail Price: RM175.00

A happy girl with her new fragrance! I got the L’Odeur Venice. To be honest it doesnt really suit me so I gave it to one of my friend instead. And guess what? She loves it at the very moment she tried it on herself. This is really the chemistry between the fragrance and her haha. So that’s why I always said choosing the right fragrance is like choosing a boyfriend. You need the chemistryyyyy hahahahaha

Find out where to buy the L’Odeur range at

Happy shopping! And hope you enjoy the fragrance :) Do share with me your experience with L’Odeur after trying ok?
