Being clean and neat is a basic for everyone. It is not only affecting the 1st impression when others saw us, it is essential for maintaining our own health. Hence we spend on taking care of face, body, hair and so on. But did you realize we missed out one very important part which can improve our daily-social interaction?
And that is our oral.
I believe most of the people hate to go to dentist. You don't know what are they doing in your mouth while making so much irritating noises, and it's just doesn't feel comfortable. With education nowadays, people now taking care of oral hygiene better and better. Do you know that men are more likely than women to have more severe dental diseases and oral cancer occurs twice as frequently in men as women?
Why do we need to maintain oral hygiene?
Good oral hygiene wards off harmful bacteria and microbes that may cause tooth decay, bleeding gums, and oral infections. Proper oral hygiene is also important in helping you stay healthy, especially if you have risk factors such as diabetes and heart problems. Other than keeping associated diseases at bay, oral hygiene elevates a person’s sense of self-esteem. This is especially true for teenagers and adults who frequently interact with others at work or in social situations. Maintaining proper oral hygiene ensures that embarrassing conditions, such as plaque, tartar and more commonly, bad breath are not experienced. Keeping optimal oral hygiene lowers the need to treat dental problems that could otherwise be inexpensively prevented. -Humana
Here are some tips to maintain our oral health:
1. Brush your teeth thoroughly at least twice a day, for two minutes each time.
2. Use a dry bristle brush for the first two minutes of cleaning.
3.Spend time moving the bristles at and below the gum line, where it is most important to clean. The toothpaste can go on after those two minutes, and you can have the advantage of fluoride, whitening, stain removal or whatever works better for you because it's applied to a nice clean surface.
4. Visit dentist regularly, at least every 6 months
5. Floss your teeth
6. Avoid snacking and choose your food wisely
As mentioned in tips no.3, toothpaste is what you applied on the clean surface. Hence you should choose it properly. Introduce to you the TruCare Nano Silver Toothpaste :
Used regularly, it will help accelerate the healing process of ulcers and other oral problems resulting in not only a fresher breath, but also rids your mouth of potentially harmful bacteria.
My verdict after using it:
I like the minty refreshing taste in my mouth after using it. No more bad breath! And I feel my teeth are protected. Feels there are a protective layer on it. Compare to other brand of toothpaste, it is not too strong till I feel a little bit 'spicy' in the mouth. Frequency of bleeding gum to occur has reduced which I am really glad! However I do not experience the 'heal ulcers' part..
You can find them in various pharmacies, or you can even order them online at www.trucare.com.my.
One more thing to emphasize on is how you brush your teeth. If you just simply brush for like 30 seconds, you are not cleaning your teeth properly.
Saw this from here and I think we should all follow this.
