Maybank Go Ahead. Challenge is an exciting international business case competition which offers the brightest young minds from Malaysia, ASEAN and across the globe the opportunity to exhibit their potential in a multi-discipline and multi-national initiative with world-class experience, specially designed and organised by Maybank,a truly regional financial services provider.
This year, they are back. I have blogged about the grand launch previously at here. Have you joined? Are you one of the finalists?
Maybank Go Ahead. Challenge is the first student competition in the region that tests participants in multiple disciplines. This reflects how Maybank do business, bringing the whole bank to customer.
Basically it is a blend of The Amazing Race, The Apprentice, Masterchef and various other reality programs. Just by listening to this I really wish I can join this year's challenge! Each individual who get selected from different countries will be grouped. Throughout the challenge, you have to work together with all the new friends you just met. And there are challenges that you can't even think of. It is definitely something to test your talent, endurance, and will push you to your limit. That's the actual situation where we will find ourselves when we are graduated, in today's challenging work climate in successful organization.
Lets us take a look at whats happening throughout the 6 days of the competition. Participants from various countries came and divided into 10 teams. Each team were assigned a series of challenges
in multiple disciplines, encompassing fields of finance, stock broking, sales and even culinary and
music. The dynamic Competition tested the participants intellectually, physically, and psychologically.
One of the challenge is helping the origin (orang asli) to build house. I will never expect I will do this in life. This is so tough! How to build a house from just woods?
Another challenge that I get to involved was on the 5th day. Each team was assigned to a specific food truck, and they have to market and sale the food product. Here are some of the booth/truck I visited:
As it was lunch time when we went, of course we bought some yummy food for lunch!
Carolyn and I both bought Nutella & Go at RM3 each! What a steal!
And what's better than having popsicle during a hot sunny afternoon? The food available in these booth are really good. We had a full tummy leaving the place.
To have a clearer view of what's happening throughout the competition, you can check out this video. It looks so fun!
